Gravity and our Sun

In class this week we have been scientists! We have learning and investigating gravity and the sun.

We worked in trios outside to invesitgate gravity using a varity of items. We had to predict what which items we thought would be faster/slower and why. We then tested them using stopwatches to measure how long it took for them to hit the ground. We then discussed our results and related this to black holes and spoke about there gravitational force.

Next, we planned an investigation in small groups to identify how sun rays affect different items depending upon their position . We came up with a question to investigate, collected the equipment we needed and then undertook our tests. Once we had done this we then discussed why we got the certain results. It has been a great week of learning!

We even got to try on some 4D space glasses! We loved it!
