This week we have begun our rainforest exploration. We used atlases to identify where the world’s top 10 rainforest are and marked these on a map. We also spoke about features of a rainforest and how the climate of these link to the equator.
We also wrote acrostic poems with the word rainforest too as part of our taught writing. We tried hard to include interesting adjectives and even alliteration.
We have also been learning about the importance of the water cycle in the continued existence of these natural habitats. We created our own water cycles.
We have also been focusing in class on speech marks. We used macaroni pasta to identify correctly where speech marks would belong.
