Nursery Bingo Grids

Dear Parents,

Nursery staff have created a Bingo Grid of ideas you can try at home with your child while the nursery is closed. These are suggested activities and are not compulsory.

This first grid (click on the link below) shows activities you and your child can complete over the next fortnight (23/3/20 – 3/4/20)

Each fortnight thereafter, we will create a new bingo grid (Except for what would have been the school holidays).

These ideas cover a variety of curricular areas ; literacy, numeracy, health and wellbeing, and completing some, or all, of them will help to continue to support your child’s development while they are at home.

To keep in a routine, you may wish to make some sort of schedule (see photo below). You might even make this into an activity too – drawing pictures of daily activities together and making a visual timetable.

It goes without saying you should continue to read to your child and sing nursery rhymes with them on a daily basis, as these are such effective and simple ways to develop literacy and communication skills.

In time, you will also receive an ILD input from your child’s key worker, which will give you more individualised targets that we suggest you work on with your child.

Stay safe,

Miss Devlin and the Nursery Team.
