A we update about the Pupil Council’s work this session!

We have been busy!

Mrs Bennett asked us to look at the Anti-Bullying policy and put it into child friendly language so that everyone can understand it. We have been working hard on these, and we’ll soon have some short leaflets and posters to display in each class.

Mr Evans asked us to find out what the children at Cornhill enjoy about how we celebrate success. So, Lucas and Jamie created a questionnaire for each class to complete. We haven been collecting all the questionnaires and are now gathering all the information so that we can think about how best to celebrate our successes even more! When we are finished this task we will report our findings back to Mr Evans.

At the start of the term we sent out a questionnaire to each class asking them what they’d like us to do in the year, as Pupil Council. Some of these things need a little money, like more bin in the playground or more French books in each class corner. So Vihaan used this information and wrote a short persuasive letter to Mr Evans about what we’d like to buy or do to help make the school a better place to learn in, if we had a little money to spend!

Jack has also been busy. He’s been using his own time to complete his JASS. During committees time, Jack has been creating a survey for the children to find out what is good and needs improving in the lessons and learning that happens at Cornhill. Soon we’ll get this survey out to classes and then report the information back to Mr Evans.
