Exploring Finland and Arctic regions

We have been busy in class this week learning about the climate of Finland on our Around the World in 40 days topic. We have found out that Finland has a diverse climate with distinct seasons. As part of our focus we have been linking Finnish weathers to Arctic climates. We have been exploring how animals adapt and survive and have been using non fiction texts to gather information about polar bears, arctic hares, huskeys and lemmings.

We even had fun building dens for some arctic animals using marshmallows….
