A Night at the Movies: Brave

Primary 6 are already thoroughly enjoying their ‘Night at the Movies’ topic on ‘Brave’. Over the past week we have been very busy!

We used some of the Active Literacy strategies to examine promotional material for the movie, and we have compared the animation styles and storylines of Disney and Pixar.

When learning about Clans and their importance to Scottish History we designed our own tartans and worked as a group to produce a shield. We are still putting together information about some famous Clan stories – there’s loads to find out!

We have also begun to look at the formation of the Scottish landscape and can tell you about some of the different features. We have started to display our knowledge of the landscape in the corridor!

After a busy first week we are looking forward to continuing our learning about Scotland and examining film and camera techniques used in the movie. We hope you’ll all join us on our Open Afternoon when the time comes!
