Weekly reflection and topic round up…

Term 1 is now finished and what a busy term it has proven to be. We have been concentrating on subtracting from 10, 20 and 30 and are beginning to try and work our answers out mentally.

We have been learning all about the ‘ow’ saying long o sound. We found this sound quite tricky but we are continuing to recognise our sound families.

As part of our class book study on Owl Babies we undertook a summary lesson to discuss what we enjoyed and learned. We then had the chance to paint our favourite part of the story, design and create a nest and take part in a science experiment all about owls vision.

We are now ready for our holidays and look forward to returning refreshed and ready for more hard work in Term 2 😁
