Filtration Experiment

We have been learning about filtration. This is a where a liquid is separated from solids.

We did an experiment to see which material made the best filter. Paper towel, sand, stones or all 3.

We started off with some dirty muddy water.

We tried our separate filters. When we used the stones big bits of twig and moss were filtered out but most of the dirt got through!

The best was a mixture of all three filters which made our horrible water look much cleaner.
