Natural Disasters

Now that the Blog is up and running again we can update you on our new topic! This term we have been learning about natural disasters. We have produced some great reports about volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis so far.

Here are some photos of some of the activities we have done to learn about natural disasters. We have shared our ideas through a graffiti wall. We made volcanoes and learnt about the chemical reactions of a base and acid. Also we designed our own ‘Earthquake-proof’ buildings out of spaghetti and marshmallows and then tested them to see how long they could stand when we shook the tray!

I think someone found the jelly too irresistible!
