Teddy Bear Hospital
In November, we got a special visit from the Teddy Bear Hospital. This is an organisation run by medical students from Aberdeen University. This outreach workshop allows young children to be introduced to the logistics of medical consultations through interactive play.
Whilst they were with us, we got to explore and experience (play with) some medical equipment, such as stethoscopes and casts. We discussed how they are used and what these items are used for and we also discussed and delivered some care for an injured teddy bear. The children had lots of fun- just look at the smiley faces modelling casts, discussing treatment options and administering medicine to the teddy bears!
