Our trip to the Woodies
Yesterday our trip to the woodies went better than expected! We were anticipating horrible weather so we all wrapped up warm and waterproofed ourselves, but thankfully the rain held off and it was a fine day for us.
We explored the woodies; safely climbing and navigating the area with our friends. We went on a small scavenger hunt and looked for things that were soft and smooth, things that a squirrel might eat, things that smelled disgusting or delicious and then used our team-work skills to work with a partner and create a picture using the natural objects around us. Some kids even managed to create their name out of sticks. Finally, we played a very exciting game of camouflage, courtesy of Miss Bruce. We had our snack there too, saw some of our local environment on our walk and also practiced our road safety skills (which are very very good!). Everyone was on top form and it was a fantastic day, I hope you all had a brilliant time.
And how could I forget- there were many puddles and everyone had great fun jumping in them! Thanks so much for providing spare clothes for your child – they were definitely needed!!
