Creative Minds and Critical Thinkers!

This week in room 15 we have continued on our journey around the world to our next destination. We used google Earth to locate the United Arab Emirates-a desert and coastal region. We looked specifically at Dubai. We learnt about its weather, main religion and architecture.

As part of our focused writing this week we created a fact file about the City of Dubai. Do you like them?

We also developed our skills in design and engineering. We looked at various photographs of architecture around Dubai. We then had to create a design plan of a new building we thought would suit the landscape and give it a purpose. We had such fantastic ideas. Some of us realised as we were planning that our designs were rather complex but we thought carefully about how to make amendments to these.

We also looked at traditional clothing worn by many Muslim’s and learnt about there names.
