Outdoor play

This week the children in nursery have been baking number biscuits. They were learning to weigh  out the ingredients needed to make the biscuits, we followed a recipe. They also were learning to name the different tools and find out why we were using these, weighing scales, rolling pin and a sieve .

The biscuits were delicious, some of the children were able to name & identify which number they were eating for snack.

The children have experimented this week outside with different loose part materials.

Taking responsibility for the nursery garden being safe

The weather created lots of discussions with the children. It was really windy, rainy and sunny. When we went on an umbrella walk some children also noticed the leaves were blowing off the trees. We spoke about different times/ seasons of the year. We made our own kites to fly in the windy weather.
