Maths Challenge at the University of Aberdeen

32 schools turned out to take part in a Maths Challenge today at Elphinstone Hall, University of Aberdeen.

A team of 3 made up from P6 and 7 entered from Cornhill School and did extremely well.

They worked collaboratively to create a poster on the Mathematics of Bicycles, complete a problem solving round, solving 16 problems in 45minutes! A traditional question and paper round, a team quiz and finally a strategy game. PHEW! It was HARD work.

The team really enjoyed their day but are glad it’s the weekend to give their brains a break!
