Planting in the garden

The nursery children have been digging in the planter and taking out the weeds to prepare the soil for planting seeds. We have spoken a little about what seeds need to grow. Most of the children knew that the seeds would need rain and sun to make them grow. We have listened to stories about how a seed grows. The children have planted carrot, broccoli, cabbage, courgette, beetroot and onion seeds. We are hoping to go to the local supermarket and purchase some of these vegetables and taste them after the Easter holidays. Hopefully we will have a good crop from our seeds.
