Fun with Science

The children in nursery have been experimenting, using & learning about magnets and there properties in nursery. The children have used the fishing rods to catch the madnetic fish, they have developed their counting backwards skills with the magnetic rocket & some children have enjoyed collecting items/ loose parts around nursery & see if they are magnetic.

Rocket experiment

The children have been learning this how to stay safe when doing experiments in nursery. We made a rocket with a special fizzy tablet & water then counted backwards 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF! & watched as the rocket went really high up to the roof. We tried the experiment outside & with a little water & lots of water to see what the differnece was. It took longer for the rocket to pop up to the nursery roof.

The rocket went so high that it went straight over the nursery fence.
