Learning Nursery Rhymes

The children have been learning to re-tell nursery rhymes, we have been learning “twinkle Twinkle little star”, we made stars, all different shapes & sizes. We are learning to recognise different shapes inside & outside nursery.

The children were keen to sing 1,2,3,4,5, once I caught a fish alive…….. then decided they wanted to make some fish & fishing rods to catch the fish. The children are learning to recognise numbers, to match numbers and find numbers in the world around them. We looked at different types of fish on the iPad & then the children decided which fish they would like to make. They looked at the puffer fish, trout & salmon, What they looked like, some had spots & some had stripes. The children then chose which materials that they would need to use to make their own fish.
